Design-build upgrade of electrical equipment and circuits located in Rooms 114, 401, 104A, and 104B in Building 8640. Project required: close coordination with facility stakeholders as design and construction activities were carried out in the occupied space; upgrade/installation of new power panels, new circuits, and new step-down transformer; and installation of a new chilled water air handling unit. Design-build construction of an electrical aircraft vehicle charging station at Duke Field near the edge of the aircraft parking apron south of the existing airfield lighting vault and north of the existing base operations building. Project required: all site work necessary to support the installation of the new equipment, including conducting a ground penetrating radar service to verify underground utilities and appurtenances where excavation was required; installation of concrete foundations for mounting aircraft charging equipment; and installation of all associated support devices and equipment.
