Executed repairs at the Robert Gray Army Airfield, Fort Hood, TX. The project included two main components: (1) removal and installation of approximately 7,150 tons of asphalt at taxiways CI, C2, and C3 and (2) removal and replacement of several sections of the southeast apron totaling 1,355 CY of concrete and clean/seal of all joints. Other project highlights: installation of new taxiway lighting system, replacement of underground electrical wiring and conduit, stormwater management, and striping. Repair and Renovate Buildings 153, 170, and 337 for the Defense Logistics Agency
NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic | Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine

Renovated Buildings 153, 170, 300, and 337. These facilities were partially occupied (B153, B170, and B300) or entirely occupied (B337) by the Defense Logistics Agency. The facilities are used as a combination of offices, storage areas, and related spaces. The project included field investigation and documentation of existing conditions, structural analysis, design, abatement, demolition, and construction activities to renovate administrative and warehouse spaces. The work involved both interior and exterior upgrades including windows, canopy replacement, painting, ceilings, and flooring; modifications to existing building systems including sprinkler, fire alarm, exit signs, egress lighting, and HVAC; and abatement.  (CCI Energy and Construction Services, LLC)

Renovations and HVAC Repairs in Dormitory Building 596
USACE Tulsa District | Sheppard AFB, TX

Renovated and repaired the mechanical and plumbing systems throughout Building 596 – a 195,000 square foot, three-story, 512-room, military student dormitory built in the 1970s – and made other repairs to adequately meet the demand of up to 1,000 residents. All 512 student dorm rooms and common areas were renovated.

Highlights included: asbestos abatement; removal and replacement of the shower stalls, bathroom floor tiles, stair treads, carpet, and ceiling grid and tiles; painting in each room, including the sleeping areas; plumbing, including the replacement of the 4-pipe hydronic piping system throughout the building and installation of domestic lines and sanitary sewer lines; mechanical/HVAC work, including the replacement of fan coil units, latrine exhaust fans, ducts and the installation of mini-split systems, exhaust fans, air handling units, makeup air units, a 215-ton chiller, a 350-ton cooling tower, fire dampers and duct detectors, and access panels; electrical work, including replacement of lights with LED fixtures and the installation of circuit panels, an exterior transformer and meter, dry transformers, and a new main distribution panel.
