Herman Construction performs complex new construction and SRM projects on stand-alone and multi-year contracts for various government customers, including the Department of Veterans Affairs, the US Army Corps of Engineers, the Department of the Navy, and the US Department of the Air Force.

From constructing fully equipped hospitals on an abbreviated timeline and building complex surgery suites to working in occupied mission-critical facilities, Herman Construction is an expert within the healthcare industry. We build out operating rooms, dental suites, and cardiology departments. Our specialized healthcare team gets the job done on time and on budget, while attentive to every detail.

Herman Construction builds research laboratories that include biology and chemistry labs, vivariums, and research office space. We add value to the planning and design process for these projects with our expertise in mechanical systems, flexible casework, laboratory lighting, and sterilization processes and equipment.

Herman Construction capitalizes on its expert team and comprehensive experience in every aspect of building for the public sector. We’ve completed a variety of projects, ranging from fire, police, and coast guard stations to civil construction and prisons.

Our project management staff has many years of experience building corporate offices. We have built new construction, renovated existing buildings, and executed large tenant improvements. Herman Construction has built amenity buildings, including warehouses and eateries, on corporate campuses. Our projects also include adding sustainable and “green” elements for our customers.

Our company has demonstrated experience in residential construction, including apartments and condominiums. Our knowledge of this project type, preplanning processes, and experience executing complex projects allows us to add value to any project during the preconstruction and construction phases and ensure the successful delivery of the project and the achievement of our customers’ goals.

Herman Construction has installed many alternative energy projects including photovoltaic panels for rooftops and other building areas. To promote energy savings, we have renovated several HVAC chiller systems to promote greener climate control and have upgraded lighting systems to increase energy efficiency.

The Herman Construction Special Projects Team serves the needs of new and existing customers on smaller projects with a quick turnaround. These projects include upgrading mechanical and electrical systems for improved sustainability, interior tenant improvements, specialized and historic renovations, and exterior building enhancements and support systems.
