Executed repairs at the Robert Gray Army Airfield, Fort Hood, TX. The project included two main components: (1) removal and installation of approximately 7,150 tons of asphalt at taxiways CI, C2, and C3 and (2) removal and replacement of several sections of the southeast apron totaling 1,355 CY of concrete and clean/seal of all joints. Other project highlights: installation of new taxiway lighting system, replacement of underground electrical wiring and conduit, stormwater management, and striping. National Park Service, Northeast Region | Lowell National Historic Park, Lowell, MA

Renovated an exhibit hall at the Lowell National Historic Park to reconfigure the area that previously housed the “Mill Girls and Immigrants” exhibition to make it ready to display the “One City, Many Cultures” exhibit in the Mogan Cultural Center. Project highlights: demolition of a 395-SF mezzanine and stairway; removal of two non-load bearing walls adjacent to the mezzanine space, 1365 SF of exhibit space carpet, ceiling tiles, and wall finishes; reconfiguration of the entrance ramp for ABAAS compliance; installation of complicated floor finishes with four different carpet tiles arranged in an intricate pattern; installation of plywood reinforced panels along the walls to hold new exhibit wall coverings, including Lexan panels on the windows for aesthetic purposes when viewing the building exterior; painting the entire space; and significant electrical work, including new lighting, fire alarm upgrades, and security upgrades. Building 15 Barracks Renovation
Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground Natick Division| Natick Soldier Systems Center, MA (NSSC)

Repaired 18,010 SF and constructed a 1,252-SF addition to the East Wing of the Barracks and Dining Facility (Building 15). Project highlights: repair of HVAC, building envelope (roofing, windows, doors, stairs, façade), interior doors, insulation/thermal barrier, interior finishes, ceilings, plumbing/fixtures, lighting, electrical, fire protection system, and security systems; repair of the dining facility storage areas, serving line, and circulation; abatement of asbestos, lead based paint, and mold; construction of a second-story addition for the Barracks Activity Room (552 SF) and a Dining Facility addition for hot/cold/dry storage (700 SF); and provided temporary swing space barrack rooms to support 40 soldiers.

Executed design-build renovations to provide an administration and education facility for the US Marine Corps Marine Detachment (MARDET) and Civilian Police Academy including reception, private and open offices, conference/briefing rooms, break rooms, storage, bathrooms, classrooms, computer rooms, simulation rooms, life safety/utility rooms, arms vaults, and a practical exercise area. Project required: design; demolition; all new mechanical, plumbing, electrical, communication, and life safety systems; installation of BAS; new fire suppression system; upgrade to modern finishes; provision of furniture, fixtures, and equipment to accommodate administrative and educational functions; patching of roof and installation of new lightning protection system; replacement of doors and windows; and landscaping. Designed and constructed a state-of-the-art prototype facility providing outpatient healthcare services for patients with complex medical conditions. The facility included treatment rooms; administrative areas; reception/waiting area; training/demonstration kitchen; and music, art, and physical therapy rooms. Project highlights: construction of 24 hurricane-rated, steel and wood frame modular buildings, a new parking area, and utilities; creation of space for HVAC systems; specialty life safety systems; and other measures to accommodate unique patient needs. HVAC and Dental Instrument Processing Center (DIPC) Repair and Renovation
USACE Little Rock District | Davis Monthan AFB, AZ

Executed the fast-tracked, design-build upgrade of the existing mechanical system, relocation and renovation of office support space, and construction of a new DIPC and Microbiology laboratory to alleviate existing infection control concerns and workflow issues. Project required: relocation of DIPC operations to minimize interruptions during phased construction; abatement of hazardous materials; demolition; replacement of two multi-zone constant volume air handling units (AHUs) with one new variable air volume AHU, including associated systems; installation of new direct digital controls incorporated into the building automation system; modification of 680 SF of space to provide for DIPC offices, workstations, sterile assembly room, decontamination room, and sterile storage; modification of 720 SF of space to provide a new Microbiology Lab; renovation of interior architectural features, finishes, infrastructure systems (mechanical, monitoring, electrical, plumbing, water treatment, communications, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, mass notification system, and new life safety devices); and provision of initial outfitting and transition including furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) tailored to the needs of the facility. (SES Electrical LLC)

Whole Center Renovations and ATFP Improvements
USACE Charleston District | Huntsville, AL

Executed whole center renovations and Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) improvements at the Reserve Training Center and two Vehicle Maintenance Facilities. Project highlights: complete renovation of restrooms, locker rooms, medical suite, communications room, and armory, including interior finish improvements and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) replacement; infrastructure modifications including mechanical, electrical, lighting, and mass notification systems to bring the readiness center into compliance with current security requirements; replacement of roof with photovoltaic (PV) panels removed and stored; construction of a new freestanding armory and weapons cleaning pavilion; and general site improvements, including pavement, fencing, and gates. Design Build for the Recapitalization of HVAC, Interior Lighting, and Ceiling Systems
National Law Enforcement Communications Center (NLECC)| Orlando, FL

Renovated the 61,000-SF single story NLECC in Orlando, FL, providing a complete upgrade to the building’s HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems. Since the building was occupied during renovation, the work was performed in 10 phases. During each 6-week phase, the people working in the renovated area were set up to work elsewhere in the building.

Interior renovations included HVAC and all ductwork, mechanical systems, new air handling units, major power upgrades (UPS) and fire protection, new energy-efficient LED lighting, new ceilings, raised access flooring for installation of power and buckets, finishes, and minor related work. Concrete work included the removal and installation of concrete equipment pads. Exterior renovations included a lightning protection system, removal of existing large mechanical room doors, installation of new large mechanical doors, and installation of new galvanized steel columns for doors and new louvers.
